⚡ Proof-of-69 Genesis • Open Now

Run a validator from your personal computer.
Earn Genesis Allocation.

Most chains make validation a data-center privilege. GHOST is the first permissionless PoS network built for commodity hardware – 6 GB of RAM, an older machine, and a valid streak. No KYC. No whitelists. No minimum stake gatekeeping your entry.

100% of the GHOST premine goes to Testnet validators. Council members, whales, and VCs get zero.

$60/mo
Server cost. Ethereum: $3,580. Solana: $19,354.
0%
Token inflation. Yield comes from real bridging fees, not emissions.
1 $GHST
Per qualified validator node. Run multiple nodes, earn multiple allocations.
194.5%
Current organic APY. No dilution, no hidden subsidies.

Why GHOST is different

Every chain claims decentralization. Here is what it costs to participate elsewhere vs GHOST.

Chain Annual Server Cost Minimum Stake Hardware Ceiling
👻 GHOST $60 1 GHST 2 cores, 6 GB RAM
Cardano $788 — 2 cores, 24 GB RAM
Cosmos $3,379 Capped at 200 slots 32 GB RAM, 2 TB
Ethereum $3,580 ~$140,000 4 cores, 16 GB RAM, 2 TB
Solana $19,354 ~$1.2 million 12 cores, 256 GB RAM, 2 TB
No KYC. No geo-blocks.

Your node, your rules. Anonymous entry, anonymous exit, DEX-only liquidity.

Validator-funded premine.

100% of GHOST’s premine is distributed exclusively to Testnet validators. Council and VCs get zero.

Open source, top to bottom.

The 5 stages

Budget roughly one focused day. Every command below is verbatim from the canonical guide.

1. Set up your machine & compile the node

~4–5 hours

Install Debian 12 / Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, build toolchains, and compile ghost-node from source.

# Clone and build GHOST Node

mkdir -p ghost && cd ghost

git clone https://git.ghostchain.io/ghostchain/ghost-node.git

cd ghost-node

./scripts/starter.sh –release

# Firewall: open p2p port 30333, block raw RPC 9945

sudo ufw allow 30333

sudo ufw deny 9945

Specs: 2 cores, 6 GB RAM to compile, 2 GB to run, 256 GB SSD, 50 Mbps network.

2. Launch CASPER TestNet 7.0

~1 hour

Generate node keys, construct systemd config, verify chain checksum, and sync.

# 1. Generate node key

sudo mkdir -p /etc/ghost && sudo chown $USER /etc/ghost

~/ghost/ghost-node/target/release/ghost key generate-node-key –bin –file=/etc/ghost/node-key

# 2. Service configuration

cd ~/ghost/ghost-node && ./scripts/starter.sh –unit-file –set-arguments

# 3. Verify version and checksum

ghost –version # ghost 0.9.3

sha256sum /etc/ghost/casper.json

⚠️ Answer N to “disable validator mode?”. Do not enable or start the service during initial setup script execution.

3. Install GHOST Eye TUI

~30 min

Compile and run GHOST Eye to manage staking bonds, key rotation, and validator commission directly from terminal.

# Clone and run GHOST Eye

cd ~/ghost && git clone https://git.ghostchain.io/ghostchain/ghost-eye.git

cd ghost-eye && sudo apt install -y pkg-config && rustup update

source update.sh && ge

Controls: ↑ ↓ Enter navigate, Esc back, ← → panels, Q exit.

4. Turn node into a Validator

~10 min setup • ~48h activation
4.1 Fund stash

Request at least 8 $CSPR from GHOST Faucet to your stash key.

4.2 Bond stake

Press Shift+B in GHOST Eye to bond 6.9 $CSPR.

4.3 Rotate keys

Press Shift+R in GHOST Eye to set session keys.

4.4 Set commission

Press Shift+V to declare validator commission rate.

# Restart systemd unit in validator mode

cd ~/ghost/ghost-node && ./scripts/starter.sh –validator

5. Confirm your streak on Telemetry

~5 min check

Confirm your node appears live on Telemetry to count active eras toward Proof-of-69 qualification.
